BEAVER DAM, WI (6-14-06) – by Bryan Autullo –The All Star Circuit of Champions hit the road once again this season to join the Outlaws for another co-sanctioned event at Powercom Park in Beaver Dam, WI. This was the first leg of a short tour out West that will see 3 races over 4 nights. Both groups will continue West to Fargo, ND from here. Tonight the All Stars and Outlaws were hosted by SLS Promotions and the Bumper to Bumper IRA sprint series. 36 cars signed in for tonight’s racing action and put on another fantastic show for the fans. Craig Dollansky set quick time with a lap of 11.676. Jac “The Wild Child” Haudenschild electrified the crowd at Powercom Park as he took the lead with 12 laps to go in the 40 lap affair and held on for the win over Donny Schatz and Craig Dollansky. All Star series point leader Greg Wilson, who started the night in the hole by qualifying 24th, made the best of a bad situation in the A-main. The w20 was lined up on the inside of the last row of the 24 car field and Greg managed to flat foot it around the speedway and drove all the way up to a 7th place finish at the end of the 40 lapper.
Chad Blonde, who started 9th in the main event, looked to be on his way to a good run when disaster struck as he put the Blonde Motorsports #5b over the retaining wall ending his night on lap 15. Chad was not injured but the car had far too much damage to continue. Danny Smith was having a great night running 7th when he suffered front end damage on lap 32 that took him out of the race. Brock Mayes was caught up in an early incident with Jason Martin that ended his night just a few laps into the feature event. Paul May motored from his 21st starting position up to an 11th place finish and Brandon Martin came home 14th after starting 17th. James Mosher had problems early and was unable to transfer to the A-main. Heat races were won by Brooke Tattnell, Todd Hepfner, Paul May, and Chad Kemenah. The Dash was won by Outlaws point leader Donny Schatz which put him on the pole for tonight’s main event. Sammy Swindell won the B-main piloting Terry McCarl’s #24 car as McCarl is still recovering from a broken leg. From here the All Star series will follow the Outlaws to Red River Valley Speedway in Fargo, ND on June 16th and 17th.
