O'Reilly All Star Points - The Battles Begin

CAMARGO, IL (6-28-08) by Bryan Autullo - All Star PR Director

As we head into the final night of Ohio Speedweek at Eldora Speedway, Randy Hannagan leads by 8 points over Dale Blaney for the Speedweek Championship. Both drivers have had lots of success on the high banks of Eldora and should mother nature allow, we'll see a battle to the end for the 2008 Speedweek trophy. With the success of Hannagan and Blaney during this past week, both have crept up on Season Championship points leader Lance Dewease, who now leads by only 80 points over Hannagan and 104 points over Blaney. Both drivers are within striking distance of unseating the Central PA legend as we head out of Speedweek and into the bulk of the mid-summer racing. Don't count out Greg Wilson who is back 206 points. He has historically made a strong charge after Speedweek through the end of the season, so we could potentially have a 4-way battle for the $50,000 Championship.
