All Stars back at Eldora, make final Ohio appearance of 2011
ImageCAMARGO, IL (9-26-11) By Brian Liskai - The $20,000-to-win Ohio Region of the All Star Circuit of Champions will come down to their final appearance in the Buckeye State on Saturday, Oct. 2 at Tony Stewart's Eldora Speeedway.

It's been over two years since the All Stars competed at the world famous half-mile - June 20, 2009 when Terry "TMac" McCarl opened the Ohio Sprint Speedweek with his first Eldora victory.

The All Stars have competed at Eldora Speedway more than at any other track - 130 events. Kenny "The Mouse" Jacobs holds the most career All Star wins at "The Big E" with 21 victories, followed by Joey Saldana with 11 wins.

Saturday's event is part of the Sprintacular with the NRA Sprint Invaders and the Legends cars.

Two-time and defending All Star champion Tim Shaffer will bring a 148-point lead over three-time series' champion Dale Blaney in the Ohio Region standings into the event. After having claimed the $10,000 Great Plains Region point title earlier this year, Shaffer also leads the National Standings by 215 points over Blaney.

Shaffer has 10 All Star wins in 2011 while Blaney has 7 series' victories. But look for the likes of David Gravel, Cap Henry, Greg Wilson, Danny Holtgraver and more to via for the $5,000 to win event at Eldora.

Gates will open at 2 p.m. with racing under way at 6 p.m.
