Rain wins third night of Thunder through the Plains at the Belleville

ImageCamargo, IL (7-31-09) – By Kelly Brown –Public Relations Director – Where there is thunder generally rain will follow and it did just that tonight on the third night of Thunder through the Plains race action. The O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions were able to get half of tonight’s show in before the storms moved with drenching rains. Tonight’s race will be called as is with heat and show up points along with prize money being awarded to the O’Reilly Circuit of Champions drivers and teams. This race will not be made up.  

Tomorrow night the fourth night of race action will take place at Husets Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota. The gates will open at 5:00 pm, and racing will begin at 8:00 pm, while on Sunday night August 2nd racing will start at 7:00 pm. Special two night tickets for the event are available prior to the event for $40 at local Lewis Drug Stores and Sturdevent’s Auto Parts. At the gate tickets will run $25 for adults, with $5 tickets for children 8-14 years old, and kids 7 and under are free. All Star Sprint Series

ImageThe All Stars are one of the premier sprint car sanctioning bodies in the USA. It is owned by Illinois businessman,  and now in their 30th year of operation, the All Stars take pride in their reputation of providing highly competitive, fair, exciting racing for outlaw sprint cars with many different winners in a year. About 400 drivers participate in All Star races yearly in front of an average of 5,000 spectators per event. Currently 40+ races are scheduled in numerous states, such as Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, Nebraska, West Virginia, and Kansas.
 

Ohio Sprint Speedweek

Image Ohio Sprint Speedweek proves to be one of the most competitive weeks in racing during the 2010 All Star season. Tough battles happened  in the 2010 Ohio Sprint Speedweek season, as it included nine straight nights of racing action in the buckeye state, it challenged the best of the best, but young David Gravel- DDR Motorsports was crowned the 2010 champion.
