Eldora Speedway becomes opening night of 27th annual Ohio Speedweek

ImageCamargo, IL (6-19-09) –By Kelly Brown – All Star Public Relations Director – There is just 24 hours until the 27th Ohio Speedweek kicks off. With the rain in the area, the first night originally scheduled at Attica Raceway Park has been shifted to Eldora Speedway. The last time the O’Reilly All Stars raced at “The Big E” drivers and fans alike agreed that it was the best race they had ever seen at the track, so it should be another exhilarating event to begin Ohio Speedweek.

Hot laps will take the track at 6:00 pm and racing action is slated to begin at 7:30 pm. Tickets for the event start at $18 for adults, ages 15 – 12 are $8, ages 11-7 are $4 and ages 6 and under are free. Pit Passes for the event run $25. During Speedweek the fans in attendance should check out the O’Reilly All Star Merchandise trailer as there are several new items. Special for Ohio Speedweek, ASI Sportswear has created several items including: 2009 Ohio Speedweek decals, 2009 Ohio Speedweek die cast, and an exclusive tye-dye 2009 Ohio Speedweek t-shirt. All Star Sprint Series

ImageThe All Stars are one of the premier sprint car sanctioning bodies in the USA. It is owned by Illinois businessman,  and now in their 30th year of operation, the All Stars take pride in their reputation of providing highly competitive, fair, exciting racing for outlaw sprint cars with many different winners in a year. About 400 drivers participate in All Star races yearly in front of an average of 5,000 spectators per event. Currently 40+ races are scheduled in numerous states, such as Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, Nebraska, West Virginia, and Kansas.
 

Ohio Sprint Speedweek

Tough battles happened  in the 2010 Ohio Sprint Speedweek season, as it included nine straight nights of racing action in the buckeye state, it challenged the best of the best, but young David Gravel- DDR Motorsports was crowned the 2010 champion.
