Camargo, IL (6-1-09) by Kelly Brown - Public Relations Director – After what racers and fans alike called one of the best races they have ever seen last weekend, the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions are taking their unmatched racing excitement to Pennsylvania before making a landmark trip to West Virginia. First the All Star pilots will be traveling to Lernerville Speedway on Friday June 5th, before they move on to Elkins Speedway on Saturday June 6th for the Gene Tallman Memorial.
Lernerville Speedway The last time that the All Stars made the trek to Lernerville Speedway it was current All Star series point leader Tim Shaffer who scored the victory. Shaffer, who is a hometown favorite, waged quite a battle with Tyler Walker before taking the lead on the final restart and motoring his way to Victory Lane. Over his career “The Steel City Outlaw” has seven career victories at the track. Shaffer isn’t the only All Star with a victory at Lernerville though; fresh off his win last weekend at Eldora Dale Blaney recorded a win in 1996 with the All Stars. In total Blaney has 8 wins at the PA track. The All Star regulars this weekend will be facing the Lernerville pros this weekend as they duel for supremacy. The All Stars ran their first race at Lernerville in 1989. In All Star history at Lernerville Chad Kemenah and Keith Kauffman are tied on the all time win list with three victories each.
