OReilly All Star Circuit of Champions Headed Into Posse Territory

CAMARGO, IL (5-4-08) by Bryan Autullo – All Star PR Director

The O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions are gearing up to take on some of the toughest competition they will face all season as they head back to Central PA. The notorious PA Posse has given fits to the best of the best who have invaded their dirt track territory over the years. In 2008 the All Stars not only bring some of the strongest competitors in recent memory, but they'll also share claim of Posse star Lance Dewease who is currently leading the All Star Championship season points race.

In 2007, it was Mike Erdley who led the way at Williams Grove extending the Posse's domination of racing in Central PA when outsiders come to town. The tough Grove competition filled out most of the Top 10 that evening. The All Stars expect to make things a little tougher on the Posse in 2008 with the addition of some of the top drivers in the sport to the All Star roster.

Following the Grove appearance, the All Stars will travel West to the 6th Annual Bob Weikert Memorial at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, PA. Lance Dewease took home the top honors in 2006 to bring his career All Star win total to 24. He’ll be gunning for #25 this weekend. Other Central PA drivers such as Fred Rahmer, Mark Smith, Jeff Shepard, Keith Kauffman, and 2007 Weikert Memorial winner Greg Hodnett -- along with a full field of great weekly Port Royal regulars -- will try to make things tough for the traveling series.

The Hurricane Sets His Course for OReilly All Star Series Title

CAMARGO, IL (4-26-08) by Robert Cortum - O'Reilly All Star Public Relations

Randy Hannagan has been thrilling race fans since he was 14 years old.  Back then it was go-carts in his native land of California, today his career has him wheeling an 800+ horsepower winged machine against some of the toughest racing competition in the world.

A multi-time Rookie of the Year and Champion, Hannagan has made his mark on every series and track he has appeared in his career.  In 2008, Hannagan decided to take on the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions once again in search of yet another championship crown.

Randy has been racing for his brother Terry for many years.  In 2007, the team gained additional sponsorship from Penthouse Magazine and Pocket Shots and he continues to deliver for his sponsors and team.

“In 2008, we decided to tone things down a bit with our racing schedule,” noted Randy.  “We have a few sponsors on board with us for the season, but what we do is mainly a family business, and with rising fuel costs it just makes more sense to us as a team to stay in a central location and run as many events as we can.  We feel that this is just one of the things the All Star series has to offer us.”

CAMARGO, IL (4-19-08) by Bryan Autullo - All Star Director of Public Relations

The O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions will disperse across the sprint car racing scene this weekend while they enjoy an off-week from intense All Star competition. A handful of stars like Blaney, Wilson, Mayes, Stark, Hunter, Andrews, and Martin were found in the pits at Attica on Friday night. Brian Ellenberger and Paul McMahan were off giving the Lernerville regulars fits.  Some will head to Fremont's season opener on Saturday depending on the weather and some will venture into Outlaw country on Saturday night to try to claim some of the loot at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, IN. Current O'Reilly All Star Points Leader, Lance Dewease, and his #30C was back in Central Pennsylvania, deep in PA Posse territory where he resides.

The All Stars will reconvene their 2008 season at Don Martin's Lernerville Speedway on Friday, April 25th. Last season Danny Smith captured the first visit by the All Stars at the tough Western PA speedplant. Invader Stevie Smith aboard his #19 RAACE Foundation sprint car kept the $5,000 check in the state of Pennsylvania when the series came back in August. Two-time All Star Champion Dale Blaney aboard the George Fisher Racing sprint car was the most consistent competitor in 2007 at Lernerville where he posted top-5 finishes in both events and finished 2nd to Stevie Smith in August. The All Stars will have their work cut out for them, however, as tough Lernerville regulars like Ed Lynch Jr., Bob Felmlee, and Rod George will try to rain on their parade.
