O�Reilly All Stars Ambush Attica for HD Supply Spring Nationals

Camargo, IL (4-6-2009) by Kelly Brown – Public Relations Director – It has been over a month since Winter Nationals ended, but the O’Reilly All Stars Circuit of Champions hasn’t cooled down. This weekend the series will be making the trek to Attica Raceway Park for the 17th running of HD Supply Spring Nationals.

The drivers of the All Star Series will be taking the Green Flag Friday, April 10 for the two night event for their chance to become a part of Spring Nationals history. The first All Star Spring Nationals events at Attica Raceway were ran in 1992 and both nights were swept by Frankie Kerr. In 28 Spring National races, Frankie Kerr has the most wins with four, he is followed in the record books by Greg Wilson who has three wins to his credit, and Mark Keegan, Dale Blaney, Danny Smith and Chad Kemenah who each have two victories to their credit.

Going to battle on the 1/3 mile banked oval will be the regulars of the All Star Series, along with some local favorites. Even NASCAR star Kasey Kahne, will be joining the All Stars this weekend as he returns to his racing roots with the All Stars to celebrate his 29th birthday. Kahne has 6 career All Star wins to his credit, although he has yet to win at Attica Raceway.

With five races in the All Star record books going into Spring Nationals, will Tim Shaffer collect his second win of the season?  Or will 2008 All Star Series Champion Dale Blaney collect his first win of the season? On Friday, April 10, Attica’s gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with racing action set to heat up at 7:45 p.m. General admission tickets are $18 for adults; $15 for senior citizens; $10 for teens 11-15 years of age; and kids 10 and under are free. A pit pass is $30. 

Saturday night, April 11, the track will open for fans at 3:30 p.m. with racing to begin at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $22 for adults; $20 for senior citizens; $10 for teens 11-15 years of age; and kids 10 and under are free. A pit pass is $30.

All Star Circuit of Champions announces the All Star Fantasy League

This season the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions is going to offer fans the next best thing by forming a free fantasy league that anyone can compete in to get a feel of what it is like to be a car owner with their own team of drivers on the road with the series.

 

The Free Fantasy Dirt Racing All Star Circuit of Champion Fantasy League will feature your favorite All Star Drivers competing on some of the most thrilling tracks on the 2009 schedule. How it works is fans will pick two All Star Drivers at the time of registration. These drivers will be the core of their team. During each race the competitors will then get to pick a third “wild card” driver from a pool of local drivers prior to each event to complete in their three car team. The teams will be scored based on your three drivers Feature finish, with bonus points being added if one of your drivers sets fast time. The 2009 All Star Fantasy Racing Season will begin with the Williams Grove race on May 1, 2009 and will run through September when the All Stars invade Fremont Speedway.

 

To register fans need to go to www.fantasydirtracing.com and sign up.  Those who register prior to April 18, 2009, will be entered into a drawing which will be held on April 19, 2009. The winner of this drawing will win two tickets to an All Star Circuit of Champions race of your choice (subject of availability). More prizes will be offered throughout the fantasy racing season and a grand prizes will be awarded to overall winners. For those who are fans of the All Star Late Model Series, there will also be an All Star Late Model Fantasy League, but registration is not open at this time. 2008 All Star Circuit of Champions Year in Review DVD is now available!

Camargo, IL (3-6-09) by Kelly Brown – Public Relations Director – The 2008 All Star Circuit of Champions season was full of excitement right down to the season finale, where Dale Blaney took the championship over Lance Dewease in a one race shootout at Lawrenceburg Speedway.  High Vista Video Productions was on hand to capture each event, and have put together a brand new DVD - '2008 All Star Season Review'. 

Covering 30 races and spanning nearly 3 hours, the video showcases highlights from each event during the season and includes all the wheel-to-wheel action, hair raising flips, and fantastic finishes that were a staple of the 2008 All Star Circuit of Champions season.  From North Florida Speedway in January, to the Hoosier Fall Classic at Lawrenceburg, the cameras were rolling all year long.  Notable events include Ohio Speedweek, Thunder Thru the Plains, the Attica Ambush, and the All Stars taking on the Pennsylvania Posse.

O�Reilly All Stars Circuit of Champions Add K-C Raceway to Schedule

Camargo, IL (3-13-09) by Kelly Brown – Public Relations Director – With the O’Reilly All StaKC Racewayr Circuit of Champions on the brink of resuming the rest of the 2009 season, the schedule is continuing to expand as the series has announced that they will be racing at K-C Raceway on Thursday, July 3rd.

K-C Raceway has been a staple on the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions schedule since the series visited the Chillicothe, Ohio track for the first time in 1975. That event was won by Kramer Williamson and he won again there when the series returned again in 1976. The All Stars took an almost 10-year hiatus from the track, but returned in 1985 and has been running at least one event there each season ever since.

All Star Sprint Series

ImageThe All Stars are one of the premier sprint car sanctioning bodies in the USA. It is owned by Illinois businessman,  and now in their 30th year of operation, the All Stars take pride in their reputation of providing highly competitive, fair, exciting racing for outlaw sprint cars with many different winners in a year. About 400 drivers participate in All Star races yearly in front of an average of 5,000 spectators per event. Currently 40+ races are scheduled in numerous states, such as Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, Nebraska, West Virginia, and Kansas.
 

Ohio Sprint Speedweek

Image Ohio Sprint Speedweek proves to be one of the most competitive weeks in racing during the 2010 All Star season. Tough battles happened  in the 2010 Ohio Sprint Speedweek season, as it included nine straight nights of racing action in the buckeye state, it challenged the best of the best, but young David Gravel- DDR Motorsports was crowned the 2010 champion.
