Inside Line Promotions – ROSSBURG, Ohio (May 14, 2019) – Kerry Madsen is going back to the comfort of a car that he’s guided to a pair of podiums when the KI Crossbows sponsored Big Game Motorsports team ventures to Wisconsin this weekend.
The team pulled out a brand new car for last weekend’s World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series event at Eldora Speedway. Madsen placed 19th on Friday before Saturday’s finale rained out.
“We took a new car to the track and couldn’t get our head around it so we’ll put that one aside,” he said. “There’s so many combinations in a team. We thought we’d try it.”
Madsen noted the team will go back to the same sprint car in which he ran second and third at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, this season beginning this weekend at Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions races on Friday at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot; on Saturday at Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth; and on Sunday at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie.
“It’s pretty nice for us with a reasonably local tow and they’re pretty close to each other,” he said. “You play it as it comes, but I don’t see any reason why we shouldn’t be competing up front.”
Madsen charged from 14th to a seventh-place outing in 2014 to earn the Hard Charger Award during his most recent visit to Wilmot Raceway. Saturday will mark his debut at Plymouth Dirt Track and technically Sunday will be his debut at Angell Park Speedway, where he competed during the World of Outlaws show that was rained out last year.
